Meet Our Founder & Formulator

Hi I'm Dana
the maker, herbalist, and creative hands behind Petal & Leaf Skin Co.
What started as a passion for natural wellness and herbal remedies has grown into a small-batch skincare line rooted in simplicity, tradition, and plant-powered goodness. I believe that skincare should feel intentional, nourishing, and connected to the earth — which is why every product is handcrafted using whole botanicals, slow infusions, and ingredients you can actually recognize.
From wildcrafting herbs to formulating balms, I pour love, curiosity, and a lot of nerdy herbal magic into everything I make. My goal? To create products that feel grounding, comforting, and effective — the kind you reach for when your skin needs a little extra kindness.
And between us… my favorite thing to make will always be soap. There’s just something magical about blending oils, botanicals, and scent into something so beautiful and useful.

When I’m not elbow-deep in herbs or whipping up lotions, you can usually find me out hiking, cuddling my cats, or happily planning my next trip (whether or not I actually take it is a whole other story).

Our Mission
Herbal Healers
Petal & Leaf Skin Co. was born from a commitment to make skincare products that not only smell great but offer the most skin nourishing and healing benefits possible. It's our belief that you can harness the power of nature to heal, protect & feed your skin.
Clean Ingredients
Our promise is to make skincare with the cleanest ingredients available. This means using organic ingredients whenever possible, no synthetic fragrances, no synthetic preservatives, no harsh chemicals. Our products are all natural so you can feel good about what you're putting on your skin.
Support Local
We source high quality local herbs, beeswax and tallow whenever possible. Many of the herbs that we use in our formulations are even grown by us and others are locally foraged. Some of our non-organic ingredients--like the shea butter we use--are sourced from small fair trade farms.
Sustainable Packaging
We aim to use the most sustainable packaging possible. This means we favor glass paper or tin packaging over plastic. When these are not an option, we only use the safest PET plastic available.
